YEP i would def say yes..depending on the type most live in a similar climate to ours...do you have toads nearby..

Just make sure you control the heat mat with a thermo-stat.

Also if your hog is already feeding on mice then DON'T put it onto amphibious.

Like most colubrids, I keep my hot end at about 80 to 85 degree's.
