Hi,

Thank you for all your help and advice. I got a bit angry and frustrated yesterday and after pressing submit wished i could have deleted a couple of posts but couldn't... sorry. Why can't we edit our posts? I will make sure I count to 10 before submitting anything in future. Smile

I do appreciate all your feedback. I'm nice really, honest. Smile

I was just hoping for something definitive and couldn't get it but that's not antibody's fault, it just the way it is. Its wrong to get angry with you guys for not giving me the answers i wanted.

Its frustrating to get so much advice that is contradictory. I think this shows that it can go either way with keeping lone females and with keeping veiled chameleons together.

I still think I'll avoid selling lone females to beginners and keep my male away from the females and try the mirror and slow introduction thing when introducing them to each other for breeding. This seems to avoid some of the risks.

I guess there is no black and white answer to any of my questions which is why these guys are so fascinating.

Apologies for being Mr Grumpy! And thanks again for your feedback. Smile

Quite coincedently I was reading a herp book the other day and the preface seemed very apt to me and made me think of this forum.

Obviously the preface refers to the book but you will see what I am getting at.

Extract taken from The Biology, Husbandry and Health Care of Reptiles: Lowell Ackerman, DVM PhD.

Because reptile care if far from a standardised science, you will find some differences in approaches and opinions amongst the different authors. Far from being a problem, this is a wonderful forum to express different views and explore different ideas. Controversy in science is a good thing- it stops us from being complacent and keeps us searching for the real answers. Keep this in mind while reading this book and discussing the contents with others. I hope this book keeps you asking important questions and searching for the truth.
