It's only a consideration, but I'm being threatened with getting hauled off to Australia. *laughing*
At the moment, I have chinese firebellied newts (three), two axolotls, three caridina multidentata shrimp, three hermit crabs, one (apparently) cali king snake, a beardie, and a box full of breeding lobster roaches.
My fish I can probably leave behind, as my housemate will more than likely be happy to take them on.
Firstly, what can I take with me?
Second, how do I go about applying to take them with me?
Third, how do I take them with me?
Most of my spare equip I can sell and rebuy, but my drag viv would definitely be coming, but I can worry about transport for dry goods later. _________________

According to my friend who used to keep reptiles and now moved over to Australia your not aloud to take anything over there due to the Eco-system and when you get over there the laws about keeping reptiles are in his own words "stupidly hard to get a license to keep reptiles".
so i don't think your be able to take them. _________________ www.freewebs.co.uk/southeastreptiles |

yep as above, you won't be allowed to take anything but on the PLUS side once you're there you will have access to reptiles that many people in the UK can only dream about _________________

I will agree the wild-life is spectacular - but I'd rather take my pets, as they're all unique characters, and some come from interesting backgrounds that I wouldn't want to submit them to again by trying to rehome them.
I shall put some serious consideration in before deciding anything.
Thank you for your help. I may poke my contact to see what's available over thataway. _________________

You could always buy a pet cane toad and bring that over
As for keeping things there, it depends on the area you live. _________________

The people I'm talking to are surprised you don't need licenses for a lot of animals here though! I hadn't realised just quite how stubborn their control systems are... _________________
