Hi,
Just a quick question, I have had my crestie for just over a month now and s/he has been fine up until about a week ago. Lately s/he has been getting very snappy (for lack of a better word). he's is being fed as normal but now whenever I go to pick him up he basically 'goes' for me. It was my fingers first but now s/he tries to latch onto my hand or arm when he's being handled. I'm not rough with him when i pick him up I just basically let him come to me, but its getting annoying now as its putting me off handling him (I know its silly hes still quite small but still..) Has anyone got any ideas why s/he's getting like this? I have tried to think if I have changed something that might cause this behavior but I've come up with zilch.
Any ideas? _________________ some people are like slinkies. Not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs. |

Might be something to do with perfume or deodrant? Maybe get someone else to try handling him n see if he acts the same...
There's only Biscuit who is grumpy out of mine.. she's bit me a few times when she was titchy, but she seems to have grown out of it now.. (famous last words!).. I did insist on handling her still though so don't give up on him, it might just be a passing phase! _________________

Is he still doing it? It could have been that you moved too quickly and spooked him. _________________ Best wishes, Jackie

Hi sorry for late replys, i have no internet at home atm.
s/hes still doing it but not as much. s/he even does it when s/hes just been fed so its not like s/hes hungry!? hes calming down slowly though, just every now and again. He is fine weight/look wise and i dont think i have been scaring him by moving to quick. its very odd
s/hes a cheeky one thats for sure! _________________ some people are like slinkies. Not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs. |
