I realise this is a tragic accident but also another example of ridiculous fear and ingorance about snakes as well as gun happy police. (I tried to find if it had already been posted, sorry if this is a repeat topic)

The original call was for a rattlesnake that had gone up a tree (should have raised a few eyebrows) but it turned out to be a rat snake. They shot it because it was classed as a danger to the public. Just a load of idiots.

Hi al,
I saw this a week or so ago though cannot remember where. What can you say about these type of incidents.
I prefer to call them incidents rather than accidents.
