well for a start you can only have one male in.
in the 45x45x45 I would say 1.2 maybe pushing 1.3
in the 60x45x60 i would say no more than 1.4
that is my opinion.

45*45*45 I'd say 1.3 if very well set up
60*45*60 I'd say 1.5 again if well set up.

Personally I would go for the larger size, it just makes your life a lot easier Wink

Would agree on that one, I have a 45x45x60 and currently have 1.1 in there. I would probably go up to 1.2 but with the risk of them not getting on I wouldn't have the space for 4 big tanks if I had to seperate them so I wouldn't go to 1.3.

As there is no guarantee on the sex of the crestie until around 9months-1 year you will have to decide what you want to do. If you want a male and female pair you would probably be better buying 2 juvies and growing them up in hope that they are one of each. Although then you will have to be prepared to seperate or sell off one if need be. Buying an adult female can be quite expensive.

What about if you bought one 60 x 45 x 60 exo terra and keep maybe 2/3/4 females and then get either a 60 x 45 x 60 or a 45 x 45 x 60 and keep a male seperate int hat and introduce him to the females for breeding.

Just a thought.

I did think of that at first when I was getting into it but then I didn't really have the space and wouldn't want to go through the introducing and seperating each time I came to put them together.

http://www.captivebred.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12671 my very well documented episode of when I introduced my two.

And yeah mine started fighting, I had to clean out the whole tank and wash everything and introduce them to a fresh viv. I don't think I could be bothered to do that everytime I wanted to introduce the male.
