Sometimes, just sometimes, life can be such fun.... I am involved with breeding several species of snakes and WAS NOT going to join in the manic behavior of the 'Ball Crowd' - who was I trying to fool ? Picking up, I hope, my new '06 normal female this week.... The bug has bit.. Now I am saving photos of Morphs and looking up sites - wasn't going to join in aye ? Sooooo excited.
Right, now who can please give me advise as to which male morph that will have to be one of the cheapest I should get for my wee lass. Yes I have read up about the 1500 rule, and the 3 year bit as well, but I need to get the lad now don't I ? YES I DO Pastels seem to be fairly !!!! cheapish, what about a yellow-belly ? Please let me know what you all think would be the way to go. Would I be safe waiting until next year when prices well may have dropped a bit? The female is a bit small for her age
Thanks, Sue |

good choice on buying royals there great the advice i would give is to search the clasifieds (research prices) then buy the one that you like best on the budget that you have _________________ 2 female royals 6 corns

hiya,
Pastels are probably the cheapest and prettiest for that price. With your 06 female, she could be ready in her third winter, so now might be a fine time to get a pastel for breeding next year. Depends how far the bug takes ya You could alternatively wait another year and see whats on offer and affordable around then |

Thanks John, I know that you are totally correct in what you are saying, and I will probably behave myself and just get girls. It will be a case of 'silence is golden' and 'patience is a virtue' so I will shut up and wait... Wonder if I could just eat baked spuds and beans for a bit and get a Pastel FEMALE this year... Now I am being silly but I do like spuds..... |

I'd go with that too...although it's hard to resist with so many stunning pastels about _________________

Way to go..... Just brought my first female Royal home. She is late 05 / early 06 and about 28" long. I say about because she was getting very fed up and tagged me hard with her mouth closed. OK little one, enough is enough for now. Have not weighed her yet, getting digital scales soon. Hope to pick up a second 06 lass tomorrow, and a final 06 next week. Photo of the first one attached |
