hey,

we have just brought our brand new baby nosy be panther home with us and have put him in his new tank.

he has been quite stressed over the past few hours, which is understandable (new home etc). but have been advised from yourselves that he will b ok.

but now he has started to develop white dots/marks on his legs, as you can see.

is this just his colouration or could this be something else??

please help.

Just sprayed him as he looked a bit dry.

as soon as the water touched him the marks disappeared.

hahaha, must have been the calcium. he hasnt dried yet but we're guessing that thats what it was.

cant stop freakin out, new parents and all Very Happy

I havnt seen this before Harrison could be just his colour.
Are his light off yet? he should relax and go nice and pale when he sleeps.
Did he have a good drink when you got him home babies dehydrate very fast, when you spray tomorrow be carefull not to spray him as this will stress him also, hope that helps a bit Very Happy

He doesn't look too happy, maybe let him settle before waving a camera at him Wink Spraying him directly may stress him too, IMO.

Good luck with him Very Happy

Leave him alone for the next few days apart from feeding and spraying his PLANTS not him!

Think about how small he is and you'll appear like Godzilla!

He should be fine if your set up meets his requirements.

Good luck Very Happy

Do as Jase says and try and put his viv at head height or above your head, they like to be higher than you, he will feel more secure that way.
Keep us updated on his progress please harry Very Happy
