This Water Monitor, Varanus salvator salvator, was WELL over 6’ foot, and must have been into the 7’ foot range. It just a tad bit over weight, but not "obese". Sadly due to bad lighting all I have are two head shots. In this first photograph my hand is less than a half in away from the animals head through glass, it was truly a beast.
