Is it normal for these starter units to get hot? When i put mine on, within 5 mins the unit is really hot to the touch. also i get a smell of like burning copper wire comming from the unit.
I expected to get some sort of smell with it being new, but wasn't sure if the smell and the heat comming from it means it's faulty.
I'm a little worried to leave it on whenever i leave the house tbh, so if anyone has used these units could let me know if whats hapening is fine or to disconnect it straight away would be great.

i use them and they do get very warm, never had a burning smell though
