Up to now Ive only been interested in finding a new camera for good macro ability, but now I see another feature I would like to play with, the wide angled lens.

I'm going to be changing from my usual fuji finepix range to something a bit more upmarket, not sure what yet though, I need to look around a bit more first and learn a bit more about what I really want from a camera. So far, I want to concentrate more on macro shots, then my next wish would be to take good scenic shots - say of mountain ranges, stuff like that. I'm not keen on large cameras though I prefer something more compact, but would adapt if necessary. I want something that is easy to use as I'm only a novice. Price wise - I will look at what is best for my subject material rather than budget, as many photographs will be used for my work.

Can anyone help advise me?

They're almost identical in terms of how good they are, just test both of em out in the shop and see what you prefer Wink

pretty much sums it up..

I would recommend a 400D with a 105mm Sigma ex Macro lense with your choice of filer & a Manfrotto tripod ohhh Not forgetting either a sigma flash gun or nice canon one, depends on your budget, I'd look at buying the body new & get a second hand marco lense from ebay & possibly the flash gun n pod..

Just my thoughts but ... Your budget will dictate what you can get I certainly would go any further up the range than the 400d or the nikon D80 unless of course you want to treat yourself somewhat Very Happy
