Well I've come home from the Newcastle match and went to check the eggs, and I've found a little head poking out of one! I've got a picture of that, and now just waiting for some more movement! I will post the pictures when it's fully hatched!
Should be an incredible thing to see though!
Does anyone have any idea on how long they take to hatch? Because this still hasn't moved in about 10 minutes...It may seem like a short time but not knowing how long it should be taking is making me a bit nervous! There is a bit of liquid moving that's on the gecko so I'm guessing that's due to breathing, which makes me less nervous! _________________ 1.1.1 Crested Geckos

It's now half an hour and still nothing, should I be getting worried now and maybe trying to help it out? Sorry about this if it's a stupid question, lol...

Happy and sad...I left it for 15 minutes with the lid on, and when I checked it was all the way out, which is a good thing!
However, I would have liked to have seen it in more stages of hatching and taken some pictures...
Anyway, pictures to come later... _________________ 1.1.1 Crested Geckos

Congratulations on the hatchling, sorry nobody seemed to be around to answer your reply. I would have probably said just to keep your eye on it but it's just normal - struggling out of the egg is bound to be very tiring work he was probably just having a break. |

I think it may also have been that it was quite scared, because within 15 minutes (At the most) of having the lid on it completely hatched...
Though it did have around 20/30 at one point and didn't move... _________________ 1.1.1 Crested Geckos

nice one Tom, well done.
I find that they often sit for a few hours after breaking through. Just poking their heads out, taking a rest before finally pulling themselves out. I tend to leave them overnight before removing from the incubator. _________________

Thanks Sam and Scott...
I'm not sure how long this one was sitting with it's head just out for, but at was at least an hour, and probably more... _________________ 1.1.1 Crested Geckos
