just got in with a mixed bag of frozen mice, being that it's hotter than hell outside most have started to thaw?!
pinks were better wrapped and seem fine, as are the fluffs.
the small and mediums have started to thaw and are still very cold so put them on fast freeze for now but the obvious question is. . . . .
will it be safe to use them?
i'm wondering as they are still very cold and have been put in the fast freezer whether they will have been caught in time and therefore safe!?
I understand the more obvious 'thawed to the point of being room temperature' but these have not fully thawed and are still cold, just a bit soft to the touch.
what would actually be the problem with using them? (never heard an explanation!?)
thanks

Of course they are o.k. to use(though I am sure someone will say otherwise)
I often refreeze 100grm plus rats when my royals are being a pain then reuse them at a later date. same with mice.
Also I have had partly defrosted orders delivered without any problems.
Only time there could be a problem is if in transit from breeders to suppliers they have already been frozen defrosted a couple of times. bit like some supermarkets food.
hope helps
