Lovely babies congrats and wow! How big is that large girl? She should produce a decent size clutch (8?)! Very Happy

Noticed the slightly high incubation temp and the only six day difference in the incubation time. Cool, well warm but you know what I mean. Laughing

Dev the snake that ate all the pies is a little over 5 foot she's a monster but really calm and laid back just inflates under her chin slightly for a few mins when she's first handled. Yep better results with the slightly higher temp .. got a 100% hatch rate this time with no tail deformities Laughing was a little suprised to see them sitting in the box this morning to be honest.

If you mean adults I have 3.4 and a male I'm growing up plus any females of these four babes that have just hatched.

Ailrus ... I'm keeping the females back from this clutch to grow on for future breeding and any males will be part traded for other species that I want.

Thanks Guys

Sue x

Oh yes they are definately cute Sue Very Happy (insert lovey dovey smilie here lol)

Good to hear about the 100% hatch rate, is the mum going for anymore now? (because of the amount of clutches they can have in a year)

I've paired mum up again about 3 weeks ago .. although there was perhaps no need as they can have upto 4 fertile clutches per year from a single mating but wanted to make sure of the fertility .. so just waiting on her to go into shed, it is very difficult to tell if they are gravid or not as they don't refuse food and also don't swell up back end any as the eggs are long and thin it's difficult to tell. I also paired up two other females so keeping my fingers crossed for first clutch from them too. The big female in the photo above is a recent addition so she won't be bred from until next year .. not unless she drops a few suprises this year as I'm not sure of her history but did buy her and a male as a breeding pair. I've kept the feeding on her quite sensible so as she doesn't produce more than 4 per year .. I do believe that you could get more clutches by power feeding the females but I'm happy to aim for 4 a year through a sensible feeding regime.
