hi

I am going to be trying to breed my ackies at the end of this year and i need some information.

what is the cooling temp?
when and how long do you cool them for?
when do i put the temp back up?
when should they start mating?
how long after mating do they lay there eggs?

I don't know of any ackie breeder that cool there monitors. They just follow the principal of "keep um hot and feed um allot." They will mate every time the female cycles, this may or may not result in eggs (not in my case ) Its hard to say how soon after mating she will lay eggs. Many reptiles retain semen and use it at a later date.

There is no need to cool them if conditions are good they will breed. Eggs are normally laid 3-4 weeks after mating.

My female will cycle 2-3 weeks after laying.
