This might seem like a daft question, but are geckos ticklish??
Just now I went to get Spud out and decided to stroke him first... I've never seen him do it before, but his tail twitched kinda and he made a some lil noises..!
Is he ticklish? lol... Or angry? He seems okay, I picked him up and he's acting normal.. mooching about as he usually does!! I'm just assuming he's ticklish unless anyone can give me another explanation.. lol
I made a quick vid of it on my phone, so that you can see what I'm talking about..

lol it looks funny. I don't know what it is, but i wouldnt do it again, unless he/she is trying to drop his/her tail. It just looks to me that he might be trying to do that |

This is just a guess but to me it looks like he's twitching his tail to try and divert your attention away from his body. Most likely if you touched his tail he'd drop it. _________________

Hi Jo, some of my females do that when a male wants to mate with them - they squeak, twitch their tail and also shake their heads from side to side slightly. It could be a sign that Spud is a young female or just very confused lol! |

First Spud, now Biscuit's been doin this aswell!! 'Cept Biscuit did longer squeaks lol, I hope that means she's a girl too!
And!! Hotdog just shook her tail while she was in the tank before jumping up onto a branch. Found this vid on youtube and it's just like what Hotdog did apart from she wasn't eating a cricket.

I've seen Corey wiggle his tail a couple of times.
The first time was when I was cleaning the tank out and he was in a cricket tub waiting. Just as I went to take the lid of he did it. I don't know what it meant I'm guessing stress of being in the tub but I don't know.
He also does it sometimes when he is near to the female. He wiggles his tail and cackles at her and she cackles back but doesn't wiggle her tail. (Also if she nips him he does it) |
