someone in my family not mentioning no names decided to buy me chameleon without tellin me thinkin they are not diffacult creatures to look after well obvi after about 10 min of readin i found out i was very wrong. i had a vivarium liying around with quite good vetilation and a uvb bulb from previous reptiles i have kept now i am going out toay to get what he needs so i need a quik short break down of essential things. i have been worried all night and have been gettin very angry with he who shall not be named for bein so dumb and not lookin in to it, i rung up a pet shop today to ask for advice she was very unhelpful she said u can never pick them up or they will get get stressed and die basicly everything she said was quite deppressing. now i love reptiles and would love to do anything i can to make her very happy please help thanks from samuel _________________ sam |

Right,i would get your self a exo terra set up first (the tall small one) yemen grow very well when given plenty of food and calcuim,
you will need:
Cage/Viv
A Zoo med reptisun uv bulb/starter
a small desktop lamp low wattage
plants/brances suited to your chameleons grasp
Hand mister
calcium
minor all
and bugs!!! fruit flies/small crix and lots of them
Set your viv up to provide shelter, and a good gradiant of heat and uv,
position your basking pearches near to the heat bulb.
mist 2-3 times a day with luke-warm water (use repti safe to prevent eye problems)ensure the viv drys fully between mistings, also BSP drops once a week in the sprayed water works well
clean your viv twice a week, with tamadine
use no substrate,a bare floor is better.
Gutload you food, with fresh veg and fruit and LIGHTY dust your bugs with calcium every feed, your chameleon is in a rapid stage of growth and needs lots.
You will need NO night time heating
Have fun..... any questions just ask _________________ I feed your eyes with chameleon pics!!!! |
