I keep my cresties 2 fems 1 male in the tallest exo terra. I like to have them in a naturalistic set up, using peat covered in orchid bark for the substrate. I microwave all the substrate and fully clean plants with F10 but mites still come back! i have ripped it apart once already put new substrate in and plants and made sure they were all fully clean but the little blighters come back again. Do you think they are from the crickets. I know that a lot of live food sellers can have trouble with mites. Is there any way to get rid of them?

yep the mites could well be from the insects.

Are they causing any problems?

I have some sort of mite/life form living in the peat in one of my vivs, they are great as they only stay in the peat and eat all the crap and dead crickets keeping the peat absolutely spotless Cool Very Happy
