I got a trinket snake today from ameyzoo in hertfordshire, he was £66.99 and it was the only one Mark Amey (the shop owner) had he didn't have it on display as he said he liked them too much and was waiting for somebody who also liked them and to ask about them. Enter me...
i asked about them and he smiled and told me the above and went to get it. He is so beautiful even though he is in shed. he is also absolutely tiny!!
i shall upload pics soon _________________ Tom

A beautiful species, a real jewel that's set to become more popular in the hobby not just because they are so prolific. Look forward to seeing pix once settled and shed. _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org

i am a little bit worried about my trinkets lack of movement. When i got him yesterday i put him in and he spent the rest of the day in one of his hides. Today he has spent ll day sitting in the corner of his box, i checked on him 3 times today and he ahs been in theat same spot.
is it just because he is settling in? is it because he is in shed? or is it possible that his box too big? He is very tiny, i was told that he was hatched in late april of this year and i am housing him in a medium contico (405 x 280 x 140mm) but i was just wondering whether is hould move him down into one of my other spare boxes (about one third that size, 28cm long and 15 cm wide? _________________ Tom

Tom I personally would have him in the smaller box at this age .. he will feel more secure in there .. also don't handle him for about 10 days .. just disturb him for routine maintance .. changing substrate / water bowl and feeding, give him time to settle in and establish himself feeding with you. Give him a couple of hides and a must is a little humid hide which will help him with shedding but also make him feel more comfortable as they do require a slightly higher humidity than cornsnakes so this should be a permanent fixture in his enclosure.
Trinkets are mainly active during the night and early morning, and do tend to hide away during daylight hours so his lack of activity during this time is nothing to worry about and only natural
