I would only put 2 in the 45 x 45 x45 and if you wanted to house 3 then I'd suggest the 45 x 45 x60 tank. But it is down to personal preference and personally I like to give my geckos as much space to move around as I can.

strangely enough it's not a simple as one crestie requires less space than 3 cresteds. A crested gecko needs a certain amount of space in order to act normal and jump about etc.

3 or even 5 cresteds would not really need any extra space for jumping or moving about so can live in the same size as a viv for one. Where the problem with housing 2 or more can occur is visability in the viv, cresteds like to be able to go about their business and not be seen be each other, plus they need to be able to be out of the line of sight from other cresteds that may show aggression etc.

By having a 45x45x60 you should have enough space to create a well set up viv that provides both space and visual barriers in order for the group to get along fine.

I would never really recommend a viv smaller that 45x45x45 for a single adult crested gecko, but I would say that if set up correctly you could keep a max of trio in there too.

Thanks for replying Scott. So, as long as I have plenty of cover etc I should be fine keeping a trio in there?

If that's as big as you can afford or have the space for then yes they should be fine, but it's always nice to try and offer as large a viv as possible Wink
