It is now 79 days since my first clutch of Crested Gecko eggs were laid (12/04/2007) and there still isn't any sign of hatching. I have read between 60-90 days for length of incubation, and the higher the temperature the earlier they hatch on various websites.
Mine have been kept at around 75°F and never really higher (Highest about 77°F and that's quite rarely) but it never gets above 80°F.
The eggs have definately got bigger (Wider, not 'taller'), and they are now 13mm wider and I just wondered does this mean they definately have been fertile? (Sorry if that's a stupid question).
What do people think the chances are have them hatching? Unless that's unpredictable.
And is there any way in which I can do anything to increase the chances? _________________ 1.1.1 Crested Geckos

Sorry, cant help really. I would guess that if they have grown then that means they're fertile? But good luck with them, and dont forget pics if/when they do hatch! _________________

They sound fine, I can't give you hatch times as I don't record mine at all plus my temps fluctuate all over the place.
The only thing that could really be wrong is if the youngster is too weak to break/rip through the shell. Last year I had quite a few like that. _________________

I've seen around where people have started off by cutting a bit of the shell to help the baby start...Have you ever tried this?
This is the first clutch and I don't want to mess anything up and just really hoping I get hatchlings! _________________ 1.1.1 Crested Geckos

My first eggs of the season hatched out at 96 days and they were being kept at a similar temperature to yours. As long as the eggs are getting wider then I'd guess that the babies are growing just fine. From what I've been able to tell the eggs start to become visibly wider about a month before the eggs hatch.
Also I've heard a lot of stories about people who have opened eggs just to find a perfect but not ready to hatch baby in them. As I said though there's still plenty of time for them to hatch yet, but I know that waiting for them is hard. _________________
