personally I wouldn't shell out £60 for a non feeder and tbh I don't think that a shop should be letting them go until they are feeding..at worst they should only let them go to people that have sufficient experience in getting non feeders etc to kick in.. _________________

i think it breaks the rules of their trading licence if they sell animals that are unable to feed,i certainly wouldnt splash 60 quid on something that isnt feeding when there will be yons of feeders around in the blink of an eye, keep your money in your pocket _________________ www.jamieswordsreptiles.com |

My local has "none eaters" though assist feeder sounds a bit better as a description in but they are not on display and they are only selling them to people with the warning they are assist feeders (that they know are good with snakes) and that they are cf not cb. Seems a spate of cfs have come into the country again shame it has to be that way but breeders aren't going to sell royals to the shops.
It is not against the law as such aslong as the buyer is gven a warning of the fact. Though I wouldn't pay that much for an assist feeder. |

I certainly don't agree with a pet actively promoting the sale of non feeders at a reduced price. Sure if a customer has the experiance and even access to live mice then there is no problem someone buying one but most people A) don't have access to live prey and B) wouldn't want to actually feed live. Almost all the non feeding baby ball pythons would start feeding on live hopper mice but so many people buy them in in big numbers hoping to make a fast profit but then find they haven't the resources to get them feeding and ready for sale. They then start selling them off cheap (again that encourages the wrong people to buy).
Your question was "is £60 a good price for a non feeder?" in my opinion NO, no where close! _________________

Non feeder - £60
Feeder - £80
The look on your face when the non feeder never feeds - Priceless.
Well not quite, but my point is, its not muc more for a feeder
