Anyone any good photos of sexual differences in leachianus?
I tried sexing mine and it looks like 1.6, the 6 females showed no pores and the male had one row, neither had any bulges or other obvious differences.
They are all around 12" long and over 2 years old. _________________

My male henkels is just over 18 months old (I think if my maths is correct..lol). He has had an obvious bulge for about 6 months now. The rows of preanal pores were evident when I got him (a year ago).
I'm sure you have seen photos like these in the books but here is the preanal pores of my male (Image taken 13.10.06 when he was 13 months old) and female.
Male
Female
Not the best image - this is of my male (march 07) the bulged area.
And my female
Having a definite pair the differences are obvious to me (though it did take me a good year to become fully convinced), however my photos aren't good examples. I will try and take some better images in the next day or so. _________________ Best wishes, Jackie

Forgot to add, my female's tail is slightly longer than my male's. I know how difficult it can be to sex them when you don't have a definite sex to compare one to. I wasn't convinced my female was a girlie until she laid her first clutch of eggs. Fingers crossed you do end up with 6 females though Scott. _________________ Best wishes, Jackie

Thanks for that Jackie, I'm 99% sure they are 1.6 after looking at that.
Here's a few pics from the other day. _________________

Yeah, I can live with that. I had my gilas sexed last year and ended up with 1.4 so that was an OK result too _________________
