Without sounding patronizing...I think this an unhealthy attitude to providing correct husbandry. I don't know about yemens in particular, but I think you should really know what the animals need before you get them. I'd suggest you consult a book on Yemens as I know there are many, as well as online resources such as adcham.com and chameleonnews.com. I have found these excellent for material. Please make sure you look after these animals. You are taking them out of their natural environment....the least you can do is to match that as best as possible in captivity.

Even so, you should have a suitable enclosure ready for them. The way you have phrased it suggests the chameleons will just have to 'put up with what they get'. You can't decide to buy an animal before you know how to look after it. Why don't you get the setups ready first, then you can get people to comment on an minor improvements or changes you might make. That way you have a suitable environment ready. You're approach is haphazard, that's all...but I'm sure people will be happy to give you input when you've done a bit of research yourself. Don't expect everyone to do it for you.

Baby anything Chameleon ish small enclosures.

I use small glass tanks exo terras for all my babies even baby yemen's. As they need an environment that is more easily controlled when young. Then when they are older I move them into more highly ventilated set ups. Thats just how I do it though.

It may help reading back on the chameleon threads as lots of info in great depth on baby Yemen's and their set up requirements. Its all there just needs searching out.
