Are they wc Angi?
They used to import these in large numbers about 15-20 years ago, in the shop I worked we fed them goldfish.
I know there's issues with their long term survival, although I don't know if it's diet related or water quality (seem to remember they need acidic water).
Good luck with them Angi! _________________

Yep.
I don't know their care requirements yet as I wasn't involved with setting them up ( I was too busy with my Boiga ).
I should imagine the key to diet may involve variety, but thats really just a guess on my part. I will get back to you when I know more. _________________ Cheers Angi

Fabulous snakes! Very interesting species, although as Scott said I have also heard they are not the easiest to keep in captivity.
The following link might be useful if you have not already seen it
http://www.acrochordus.com/furtherreading.htm
Best of luck, keep us posted on how it goes.

yeah they are one of the file snake species. I think the understanding of their captive care has got better now, there seems to be more information around. |

they look like banded wart snakes (Acrochordus sp.) if not they are definitely the same genus, almost completely aquatic. Basically keep them like terrapins, i think.
they look great by the way!! you don't see them very often. If they are the banded wart snakes According to The art of keeping snakes by Phillipe De vosjoli they make god display snakes and are require slightly brackish water _________________ Tom
