Z. longissimus Aesculapian ratty.
A bit more then…
Not sure where Garter pix should go? I guess its ok here with the other colubrids? If I've bunged 'em in the wrong place, please feel free to delete them and burn me whilst tweaking my nipples..... Please.
Thamnophis radix male, the female didn’t want to play.
Notice anything about the neck of this animal? _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org

Both garters (I have a single female too) were WC and the male looks like he has had a healed injury around the neck or possibly a genetic deformity going one. He has good body proportion so I assume this isn't as likely as the healed injury guess but really don't honestly know. Yes, I still would like to breed from him, with another cb female in future though. The female I have is really too small and I wouldn't breed from her. I've had both of these since 2002-3 I think.
Longy (Ted is his real/previous name) is erm.. long.. dunno, really not sure, around four-five feet.. no hang on... snakes don't have feet do they? _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org

Placid, loves climbing and bingo. He's CB.
Yup, they are still there so far, as to other places in the UK I really don't know but have heard that they might. Perhaps someone else can shed some light on this as I believe they are meant to be down South somewhere too. _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org

Do you mean the Aesculapian snake dude? They get around 90-140cm (3-4 and a half feet) according to Schulz, although some are rarely bigger 225cm (7 and a quarter feet).
No not really expensive at all, being a nicely dull (but a handsome snake in my opinion), the price tag will be lower than a hundred notes (GBR) anyway.
T. radix can be well cheap £30-60 is usual for them. Adults are usually 60-70cm (2-2 and a quarter feet) with females generally larger, although my female is a short bottom. _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org

Interesting about his battle wound, if only they could talk eh? does make his whole head pattern look a bit skew-whiff the more I look at him, more endering too lol.
Shame about the female being too small, I know someone with some chequred, a breeding pair but the size difference there between the male and female is huge.........the female is the large one.Which yes I know make sense but just made me think of them again lol
What's Mr Long like feeding wise? _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org |

He's a good boy and eats what he is given when he is given it, good appetite.
They have smaller gapes than other ratties so proportionally smaller meals more often is the strategy I'm adopting (or multiple food items at a single sitting). _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org
