Had to clean out the Copperhead the other day.
Usually if she's sat on her hide, I can just pick it up snake and all with a pair of tongs and set her on the floor.
She's always more than happy to pose for a few pics!

Stunning colouration and markings! Copperheads are very attractive snakes indeed! Here's one we saw in a vivarium in Florida last year. _________________

Very nice!
Copperheads are stunning snakes. Out of interest, what do you 'do' with them during cleaning - I take it you have some sort of 'bin' for the snakes as a temporary holding! _________________

Wow thats a chunky Northern if I ever saw one!
Mememe- I use a "safety" box for all my snakes to temporarily house them while I'm working in their enclosures.
Sometimes with the Copperhead and the Ammodytes I can leave them on the floor and keep an eye on them but NEVER if I have to leave the room to ,say ,wash a water bowl or something.
However, the Puff, Gaboon and Rattlesnake always get boxed up.
Wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw 'em _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |
