I'm after a little advice here, one of my female cresties is pretty heavily gravid. Over the past few nights she been digging in the egg box but hasn't laid her eggs yet. Is this normal or could she be egg bound? In the past I've always just found the eggs there without any prior disturbance of the egg box which is why I'm a little concerned.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Is the nest box the same as used successfully before? (same substrate and humidity etc)

I've NEVER had an egg bound female, even when they have caught me out and not had a nest box, they just laid on the newspaper.

Glad she laid, with that laying I'm sure you laid off a hell of a lot of stress also, keep us posted on the progress and looking forward to seeing some pictures of babies.

Thanks for that. Smile

I'm really hoping that this lot turn out to be fertile, the last pair laid by her sadly weren't.
