I like cresties but i really like mossies.
i could easily buy cresty as they are available at my local rep shop most of the time.
I know mossies cost a lot more and they're hard to get hold of but i think there really interesting.
this would be my first rep and am still keeping my options open and doing a lot of research.
what do you think?
thanks, chris. |

Both mossy's and cresteds are equally easy to care for but due to the limited numbers of mossy's available and that it's your first reptile I would personally steer you towards cresteds.
Ultimately though go for what you really like the best, after all you will be the one looking after it for the next 15+ years _________________

still doing research, finding this forum and the repashy forum very useful reading.
th only thing I can't seem to find out is what kind of price am i looking at for a juvie chahoua if i decide to get one? obviously i just want a standard chahoua, nothing special, as it is only going to be a pet. although im guessing there is a difference in price between the mainland and the isle of pines locales? |

Hi there,
I have chahoua at the moment, they are great fun, when they are settled and relaxed they make great tame pets & wonderful display animals, There are advantages nd disadvantages with Chahoua's, they are not so jumpy to handle, they are harder to get hold of than cresties, there are more expensive, but they are far more reluctant to drop their tails than cresties.
As Scott has said if its your first rep, cresties make a fun & wonderfull pet to own...
