Hey, i know its not QUITE a reptile but i'm wondering if anyone know if it's legal to own a Capibara, if a DWAA is needed or if its just a big no-no. It'd be so nice to have a dog sized rodent wandering about i feel.

it would be a very big sized dog like rodent and they are usually fairly nervous but relatively easy to keep if you have the land and license.

yer you will deffinatly need a dwa they also breed very easily like most rodents Laughing so if you do keep them it may be hard to move on the young

As the others have said, they are on the DWAL, not a species I would recommend keeping, females can get quite aggressive!
However if you have the land and suitable containment then its up to you

I have seen a few of these on the verge by the road between Brandon and Thetford at night. Stopped right beside one and took a photo but camera phone was poo. It was very calm and let me get really close - could have popped it in the car Laughing Go collect your own!
