You have to be 18 years old as far as I know Wink

If you want to apply the best thing to do is contact your local council office and ask them about it, what conditions they set ect.

The fee is set by the LA and differs county to county.

Also, you need a public liability insurance policy set up when you apply.

I currently pay £257 per year for 6 snakes plus £144 for anual DWA fee.

Add to that the cost of secure enclosures, heating, lighting, safety equipment, books.....and not forgetting the snakes themselves your looking at a substantial initial investment.

However it is well worth it!! Very Happy Cool

I'm not sure but I think you can work in a pet shop and handle DWA livestock at 16 yrs?

Maybe you could get a mentor and learn for a couple of years?

Good luck anyway mate Wink Smile

Thanks very much!

I had to remove her from her enclosure tonite to clean and change her water bowl. Usually it's a routine task but tonite she decided she was going to be difficult Rolling Eyes What a character....
