How are the temprement of beardies? My 2 youngest sons want them, they are a bit nervous of snakes, but want something they can handle without risk of being bitten or losing them.

Bearded dragons are lovely affectionate lizards.
Mine used to try and run when he was only a few months old.
But now he is getting bigger i let him walk on the sofa.
Sit next to the fire. However they do require more care than a lot of lizards.Mine eats lots of crix,lettuce, butternut squash, mealies,waxies and hoppers!
Imo if you need a pet for your kids a bearded dragon (if kept right) will be a loving pet!

Thanks for that, I will do some reserch on viv set up, and then maybe let them have one. I'm still debating the western hognose for me (oldest son is a corn keeper). x _________________ Better to let people think your an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!
