|
Well I've now got my first batch of Nectar mix & base mix.
Frstly the flavours smell great I purchased, Mango & passion fruit & the base mix.
Here are my findings after everal days of testing with my tribe!
I've found the base mix & nectar mix gels better if you dry mix it together first & then add water to the correct consistency & then let it stand for a few minutes before stirring it again to check.
Well.
The Male chahoua 3 years old 'known to be a picky eater.' loves both flavours, although it took him a couple of feedings to come round to it, licks the bottle top clean everytime now!!
My Juvenile male auric who's 8 months old, likes both flavours & came around to it straight away, no doubt guided by the sweet smell. Polished off every last drop.
The Adult R.Leachianus henkeli Nu Ana Still prefers his crested gecko diet!!!
The most Pleasant suprise by far was that the 6 month old Juvenile Bayonaise Henkeli Loved it first time, even though he's a very very fussy eater normally, He totally loved it & ate loads !!!
Overall I was very impressed by the new mixes Allen has produced, it gives more flexability & more imprtantly far more variety to the Rhac thats being fed it.
kind regards james |

Thanks for posting your results James. My male Crested is now eating the banana nectar mix. My male chahoua is still reluctant to try it though - I'm sure it'll just take time. I'm impressed at how quickly my Rhacs have taken to this new diet.
They nectars do smell lovely don't they (the base not so much - kind of smells like digestive biscuits to me). _________________ Best wishes, Jackie
