Is there anywhere you can get average prices for snakes like this? Just out of curiosity you understand Wink. Are all these morphs more likely to be sickly or prone to genetic problems, as is the case with purebred dogs and such like?

Prices do vary widely as does the prices in the UK compared to the USA. Overall you can get lucky and track down the odd cheap morph that's under the market price but quite often you get what you pay for. I prefer quality over quantity and will always buy accordingly.

As for genetic problems, there are perhaps 3 or 4 mutations that not only affect the snakes colour/pattern but also the behaviour and physical side of the snake.

Caramel albinos from certain bloodlines sometimes produce kinked young.
Spiders can display a neurological disorder that makes their heads point upwards or slightly to one side.
Super Cinnamons from certain lines have a pinched nose.

There may be others that produce a lethal gene that prevents the eggs or babies surviving, the Pearl I think?

Overall ball morphs are very strong genetically and certainly all of the co-dom morphs will be very out bred. Even the recessive morphs will in most cases be out crossed due to a lot of breeders couldn't afford two visuals to start with.
