A few days ago Cleef posted a message and images showing the difference in day/night colours in Crested geckos. I find that the difference is even more so in auriculatus (Gargoyles).
Here are some images to demonstrate what I mean. All are of the same animal taken at different times of the day:

Great pics, it's like his pattern is not even there and then just appears, instead of just becoming more visible... if you know what I mean

The colours changes in these guys never fails to amaze me. Fine looking gecko.

great photos Jackie, it still amazes me just how much they can change there colouring, sometimes I even think people are playing games with me and swapping my gargoyles round as they never look the same twice
