i have had my baby chameleon for about a month now, hes about 6 inches long including tail.

l8ely ive noticed he has been huging the vines with all his life, does this mean hes cold or something? or is it normal?

and i relli hope its a he but i cant relli see any spurs on his back feet. like i can sort of see little nubbs, but i dont know if that means hes a boy. is this also normal?

and last, he is in a 10 gallon tank right now and i would like to move him into my 29 gallon for now. this tank has a water fall and a fogger. the water fall has an open bottom so is it possible he cud drown it in??

thanks a ton guys!

Hello
The spurs on the heels if male should become more visible as time goes on, they do start off as very tiny little nubs as you referred to them, but at six inches long the nubs should be more pronounced. A picture of the nubs would be good. How old is he?

Personally I would not use a waterfall, bacteria can easily build up within the tubes in the waterfall and this may not be good for your Yemen if he drinks any spray from it. Plus as you say he may drown if he falls in.

Is the purpose of the fogger to provide a mist at certain times of the day?

Not to sure about the hugging vines bit that you mention. A picture of the present set up and proposed set up would be great if possible. May I ask are you using aquarium type tanks?

What sort of basking set up have you got and temperatures at the basking spot and at the cooler end? Also the type of UV set up? I only ask as this may help to answer your queries as to whether he is cold.

my camrea is working at the moment so ill have 2 send some pics some time in the next few days 2 u.

the fogger is to provide contstant humidity and mousture in the tank. and of coarse it make the tank look nicer Wink

and yes, the tank he is in right now was an old fish tank, and the 29 gallon is also a fish tank. but ill be making him a screen viv for when he gets bigger.

his basking temp is 90-95, and his cool side is 80-85. that sound about normal?

thanks!
