As soon as I have some money from my hypos I intend to FINALLY get my DSLR
So whether it be Nikon or Canon which is the better starting lens is it the 55mm that Canon prefer or the 70mm that nikon like?
Sorry I am a bit of a numpty when it comes to this so rather take advice from people with more experience than me! Also just as a guide is £600 a good price for a Nikon D70s + 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 DX Lens + Sigma 55-200mm f/4-5.6 Lens
Thanks guys

The nikon 18-70mm is a great lens and supposed to be alot better than canons kit lens. The d70s goes for £399 body only and I would think long and hard about buying a "kit" chances are you will want to upgrade lenses so don't get fobbed off into buying average lenses. I would go for body only or body and 18-70mm as its a nice usefull range. Then if you could stretch the funds go for the 70-300mm vr which is £337,but results I have seen have been very impressive. _________________
