Ok folks,
on a less funny topic...the one topic most you are now aware of...the proposals by DEFRA to infringe on our right to RESPONSIBLY keep and CARE for our animals! Emails and petitions are falling on "Recyle Bins" and "Waste-Paper baskets" all over DEFRA and probably the RSPCA.

The occassional phone-call, or letter to their offices or local MP's is not working, or if it is, in rare cases, and so little as to be useless. I am hosting a meet with the owners of as many REP forums as possible to discuss important and relevant issues and consequences of DEFRA's proposed legislation. The meet will also discuss our options to do something to save our hobby legally.

It will be hosted by Debs of DNS and myself. The place will be in MSN IM, for those who do not have msn IM, we will make every possible attempt to relay in yahoo IM also. This meet IS IMPORTANT and we have WELL LAID PLANS to put forward for debate and action. Your co-operation is essential to success.

My email for this is on msnIM: nentres@hotmail.com
My Yahoo IM ID is : snappychappy

Please do not abuse these email addys.

Please let as many other forum owners and mods know of this meeting. We need as many forums onside as possible.

The meet is scheduled for Friday 14th October 7PM. If you cannot make it, we will attempt to save the convo and see you get a copy on request, provided no objections. DEFRA's legislation window for comments from us is closing on 31st October, so time is of the essence.

We need Members, Mods, and especially other forums...that means you forum owners.

Kind Regards...Glenn

It consisted of a constant number of 30 people in the room at any one time, although who was there varied constantly.
There was no organisation and from an outsiders point of view only 3 or 4 people who all know each other decided to go off and do various things then come back tomorrow night to do the same again. Other than that group, the other 25 or so just sat and watched (unless you're me, as i was asked to leave as someone joined who didnt want me there) or all talked over each other so keeping up with anything was impossible.

So turn up tomorrow to witness more aimless rambling led by someone who constantly reminds people he doesnt do well under pressure and stumbles with his words when he needs to speak.

All in all plenty showed up but nothing of any value was said.

Bit like my old school reports "has potential but must try harder" Laughing

Am i being a tad harsh? Probably but then i am not saying anything 95% of the other people there werent thinking Sad
