Just wondered if the tub size should increase when trying to breed royals. I've got 2 adult royals that i was wanting to breed, when put in together the male seemed to be banging himself against the 50 litre really useful box. We have bigger viv's that we can do this in, and just thought i'd ask the question, of how anyone else does it.

Male 1.9kg
female 1.5kg

I have recently built a wood melamine rack for the ikea komplement boxes. It does not look as good as the proracks but £500 cheeper. Mine is side on rather than long ways.
I have not put any royals in them yet.
I think the extra size is great to give them more choice of hides. E.G. you could keep a humid and dry hide side by side and let them choose. Also it will be easier to position a nesting box, boxes etc.
A lot of people just use the 50ltr usefull boxes with no probs at all.
Currently a guy is selling them on ebay in 3s for about £32 including postage. Great boxes.
What weight are your big royals scott that are lost in them?

I guess there's some over 3kg. I use black B&Q buckets cut down with a large notch cut out on the bottom rim as hides (there cut just tall enough to stop the pythons sitting on the top). There's room for 3 or 4 in each tub.
