AWW thanks for the nice comments, I honestly think Imps growth is due to home grown Locusts! Don't laugh I really do. He has been fed crickets only twice since hes been with me as he prefers Locusts, having said that he gets a very varied diet- all home grown and I sincerley think that " what you put in- you get out". He is sweetheart who has some very endearing ways- like drinking from a water dish, I had his little dripper dripping on to a cupped leaf, 10 days ago I placed a very shallow dish above the leaf and let the dripper splash into that now he goes over to his dish and drinks from that, he still gets misted a lot so thats not his only water source. He, like all my Chams is a delight to own and has the nicest nature, I am indebted to Rick for allowing me to own such beautiful Chams.
love Jan

Looking good Jan. Cool

True what you say about homegrown food. You also have the advantage of giving the feeder insects a nutritious diet. Glad you cracked the locust breeding. Wink

Razz Thanks to you Pete all the reps enjoy home grown locusts! It is true though isnt it? You can give the adult locusts a really good diet and enrich the hatchlings from day 1. All my hatchlings are fed on fresh greens fine bran and wheatgerm and skimmed milk powder they are also dusted prior to feeding. My mealies and waxies have the same enriched diets, as do my woodlice and snails. I am a big beleiver in the correct nourishment for everything even humans!!! ,. My feeder items have a better diet than some people I know. Oh pete I have discovered a food which Locusts devour in seconds scandanavian bran crispbreads, a bit like Ryvitas but as they were reduced to 50p for a pack of 12 in health food shop I thought I'd try them, the locusts, mealies and morios snarf them up in no time. Thanks again for your expert guidance. Love Jan
