Just noticed while having a browse on livefoods that they have a Repti-Glo 10.0 in now. Obviously this is new as they only used to go upto the 8.0, so has anyone used this bulb? Is it upto the same standards as the 8.0? I would presume it was but wanted opinions...its for a Yemans Cham. The other option was the Repti Sun 10.0, but the Repti Glo is £10 cheaper and comes in a 30 inch tube which is what i want...the Repti Sun only comes in 24 or 36.

Opinions?

Hello I have a repti glo 10% tube hard to say how good it is compared to the Zoo-MED 10% unless a UV meter is used to measure output.
For my Yemens I use a 10%, for all my other chams I use 5% Zoo meds. The higher the UV output the lower the white light content seems to be so there is a trade off in terms of seeing the best colours of the chameleons, unless you add a standard daylight tube across the top of a few vivs or even a standard household high lux tube. I do know of some keepers that do this.
I also paint the interiors of all my standard chameleon vivs white to reflect and utilise the available light. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk
