Any one keeping Rhacodactylus sarasinorum or trachyrhynchus in the UK ? both are stunning geckos, the latter is a livebearer.

Hi Tom,
I had 3 pairs of Sara's, bought them in as part of a big collection but sold them on due to lack of space (believe the guy had eggs off them within a week or so).

The chahoua's are my favorites, sadly I only have one pair of those but they are laying eggs, just not hatched yet Very Happy

I have 6 Chahoua, 3 youngsters and 3 near adult that should produce next year.
Chahoua are my fave Rhac, tons of personality, and even calmer than cresteds.
Heres a pic

I don't have either of the Rhacs you have mentioned, but I do keep chahoua and leachianus (as well as auriculatus and ciliatus). I would love to keep sarasins though. A friend of mine keeps them and they are beautiful. Much more attractive in the flesh than they are in books (like most things...lol).

Is there much difference character wise, between chewies/gargoyles and cresteds?

I think so. In my opinion gargoyles are the most fiesty (and greedy), Cresteds are more jumpy and chahouas are very laid back.

My 6 chahoua love CGD with a bit of fruit, i think they would be happy to eat it all the time.
While the crested seem more keen on livefoods.
