Ha! What did I tell you!
Pleased for you mate. Fatten them up with hoppers, few anurans can resist them, and once acclimated I am sure they will take a wider variety of food items. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

Just for now make sure that every couple of days they get a few inside them and as you say, you will come to find what suits them best through trial and error. Evening is a better time to feed them, you will find that if they are eating in front of you now, if you tip some hoppers in say, tomorrow evening, they will mop up a lot more.
As for the size of your viv, big open spaces can be a bit intimidating for newly arrived captives, but as long as there are plenty of hiding places (oak leaf litter is ideal) for them they will feel secure. Acclimation is a stressful time for any animal but it sounds like you are doing your best. Don`t blame yourself for their shyness. The fault lies with whoever the dealer was who should have kept them for long enough at least to observe that they were feeding properly and in good health rather than just "punting" them straight out . That sort of thing really does annoy me.
I am sure that if they will take a few hoppers in front of you now in broad daylight, that in the night time they will start to take greater amounts of food in. I am glad you are starting to get a result and well done for seeking help and guideance here. You obviously have the animal`s best interests to mind. It would be great to see some pics of your toads once they have settled more. All the best with them. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD
