Ah right, thanks for the reply Scott
Have you seen the cresties use it as a source to drink from? Can I ask why you do not use it with the adults?
I like the idea of a 'realistic' water supply but have only heard of them being used with chams really...... _________________

I don't supply water dishes with the youngsters (too easy to drown) so they basically drink from the drops as they drip thru the cage each night, the excess water then helps to keep the peat moist.
The adults I only provide with water bowls and a humid hide, NEVER sprayed them at all. They are kept in mesh vivs and an air con running but I have not had any problems or ill effects from this 'dryer' habitat. _________________

I have owned 2 of these and both either ran too fast (once i had set the correct rate it sped up) or stopped completely after a short time.
Perhaps i'm just a numbnut, but i have never succesfully got one to work!

I made my own a couple of years ago for our cham, that works a dream, and he enjoys drinking the drops. Our tokay on the other hand drinks from a bowl. I'm interested in this as I am feeling the lure of cresties at the moment.
My dripper is a 5litre tall food container with some 7mm tubing a flow valve and the 10 in line drippers from B&Q and two end drippers, as I have split it into two branches of drips. I'll try and find some photos later if anyone is interested. _________________ “If in doubt, just say nowt” |

Here you go, nice large irregular pattern droplets that Toy loves. The viv in the pictures no longer exists but the dripper is going strong. By going for a taller water container gravity keeps it dripping better than a flatter style one. _________________ “If in doubt, just say nowt” |

One more. I'm fairly sure the whole thing was under a tenner if not it was certainly no more than about £12. Parts were from B&Q and Asda. _________________ “If in doubt, just say nowt” |
