Well nobody wanted to play ball except Big Bird - Goliath Bird Eater in their new enclosure. It's tricky to judge size in the pic but the water dish is saucer size. Still plenty of growing to go. Smart Little so and so - comes to the door when you go in to wait for dinner!
Also a pic of Pinky's web - so you can see why we can't get a decent pic of the pink toe - too flipping cozy in it's candy floss home! |

I think they can be if annoyed but Big Bird would run away rather than go for you - they are very fast! When we moved her into new viv we had to get her leave her old home and every time we tried to encourage her to move she just kicked back - didn't flick just kicked!
Due to the size their bite would no doubt hurt, I'm not sure how venomous they are though. Great to watch - takes no prisoners at feed time |

At the moment large hoppers but think we might try moving up to locusts as it never refuses a feed and pounces as soon as the feed enters its domain! |

Nice
You get very attached to these furry critters, especially ones you can handle. |
