Hi all.
collected trio of peacock monitors this morning, and have been watching them all afternoon. they are very lively & entertaining, not at all shy,apart from the smaller of the three, which i believe is female, (different vent area and different head shape). i am housing them in an old converted wardrobe which measures 6' high 4' long & 22" deep. enclosure is more arboreal orientated although they are having trouble climbing up the cork tiles which cover side & rear wall. no trouble climbing branches though,which run from floor to basking site, which has a 100 watt powersun (on outside of enclosure) above it. will try to get some pics.

Hi.
trying to find age at which sexual maturity is reached any ideas? also any clues to distinguish gender, thought i could see a difference, but not so sure now.

sexual maturety can be early as in 2 years i think but you should start breeding when the fem is 3.5 to 4 years old i had a fem timor that was in perfeckt shape but was just to young to handle the egs and died of eggbound you can tel the sex by the shape of the head and tailbase as far as i know i hope u can use this info

yeah i still got 3 timors 2 males and 1 fem stil looking for another fem that i like and is the same coller as my single male
