Hi all.
Noticed lots of tiny crickets in my Argus monitors enclosure. obviously the larger feeder crix have bred. any ideas how to get rid of them, not too worried about them hurting the monitor. it's 10 months old now & over 2 foot long, but dont want them escaping into rep room. what about a couple of small nocturnal house geckos, obviously i know that if the monitor catches them it will eat them, but what about the dangers of disease & parasites? the enclosure is 8' x 4' x 4' so too big to try and catch them, any ideas?

cheers.

Easy one, just put a little plastic box with some crixfood and cucumber in the viv, make sure its big enough so the crix can`t jump out ones they in the box.

As long as you feed him crickets you will allways this problem, i wouldnt worry i doubt they will cause a problem in your rep room as pin heads dry out easily and if they stay in the viv when they are big enough he will eat them then, you could allways let the house gecko's loose in your room.
