Bob was looking hungry so thought I would try and get some pics of him eating not the easiest thing to do on your own! If you've never seen one eat you can't imagine how fast they are,so it was a case of drop food...grab camera and hope for the best..lol Here are a few before food!
First cube of food he swallowed in one!
Just managed to catch him this time
and here is looking happier!

Stunning Arowana Stu. How big is he now? I was watching a DVD last night of fish stranded in the dry season and the caiman and egrets were having a field day with the stranded fish. I noticed a couple of Arowana on the menu and was suprised at the size of one of them especially. I`ve seen them about 12" in aquarists but this one looked twice that size. Maybe an unusually large specimen or perhaps they often get that size in the wild state? _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

Gr8 looking arowana. Has it jumped out yet?
I used to work for an aquatic shop (Ruxley pets and aquatics). When feng shui was very popular customers used to try and buy golden or red arowanas (scleropages formosus) For 10 gallon fish tanks with guppies, mollys and other small fish because a book said it was good luck to own two. I think it's because they have large golden scales like money
One customer did buy two baby golden arowanas priced at around £400 each. When they arrived they looked nothing like the pictures more like a panchax.
I miss working there. I used to pay trade prices for anything I wanted (Over half the price off)
RED AROWANA

Yes he jumps but lid is weighted down so he just gets a headache! I also keep water level lower than I would normally so if he jumps a little he isn't banging his head all the time.Fantastic fish and great characters _________________
