Has anyone used ' eco earth ' ?
I'm interested to know what it looks like ? ( I know
you have to soak it in water and it expands but what
does it look like in vivs ? long bits ? little bits etc ? )
Thanks in advance |

COME ON, someone must have used this. i'm interested to know myself.
hi Fallen Angel, just looked at the ZOO MED website, and it looks like a type of cypress mulch, long bits & short bits. good for holding moisture & maintaining humidity. |

We have it for out garter snake.
Its very fibrous (sp) but we keep it dry so I dont know what it would be like if kept moist. |

I use it a lot. it looks like old tea leaves tbh, plants seem to thrive in it, it holds humidity very well the only down side I found is it can harbour mites something shocking. Its good value for money as it does expand really well, I cover the block in a few litres of warm water leave for 10 mins and then bash the hell out of it with an old potato masher.
