Yep baby George and Mildred Mellors.

The Yemen's hatched over a period of weeks and the second clutch are still hatching, I spaced the eggs a fair distance apart.

With the mellors I placed the eggs closer together due to their large size and they seem to be hatching simultainiously.

So there may be something in the chemcial signalling hatch response theory. Still hard to say though, would probably require numeorus batch tests to confirm more firmly.

Congratulations, they're cute little things. Must stop looking, feeling the need for some Mellors now.

Cheers Pete; I was quite surprised at the short incubation period approx: 3.5 months. Although decent literature on them is scare, from what I had read incubation time was anything from 3-9 months. I had them on a low incubation temp to as did not want to cook them. Apparently anything 80f or over will wipe them out and when we had those hot spells I was quite worried. I incubated them at 74f.

Great news Rick!
Can't believe you have another (bigger than normal) 50 mouths to feed! Laughing

Fingers crossed for rearing them, they're stunning.

Have heard theories of the other hatchling's steps prompting the eggs to hatch, so they come out en mass, safety in numbers etc.
